| FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR JAZZ AT THE INSTITUTE LIBRARY
Friday, December 13, 5:30 – 7:00 pm
This week’s Friday Happy Hour Jazz session, presented jointly by the Institute Library and Jazz Haven, brings to your attention two important recordings:
We Insist: Max Roach’s Freedom Now Suite and The Original Fables of Faubus by Charles Mingus.
This program is free of charge and open to the public
The public is invited to learn about jazz history while listening to, and discussing important, and often rare, recordings. The Institute is a membership library and depends on its membership and donations from its partners and the public. BYOB.
The Institute Library is located at at 847 Chapel Street, between Church and Orange Streets in downtown New Haven. Join us at the Institute’s third floor music and listening room.
If you expect to be part of a large party (5 or more people) please contact us in advance so we can ensure sufficient seating upstairs! Newcomers to the series, please note that donations supporting the Institute Library and its programming are always welcome. If you like, register here!
