The Rich Moran Quartet will return to Best Video on Thurs., Aug. 18, at 5:30 PM.
The Quartet featuring Rich Moran on vocals, Judy Webber on Piano, Jeff Webber on woodwinds, and Mike Bimonte on drums will continue their exploration of the Great American Songbook mixing neo traditional renditions of the Standards with insightful commentary on the history behind the music being played. Joining the Quartet will be special guest singer Chloe Chauvot.
One of the first music acts to play at Best Video, this performance will mark the 10th year that Rich, Judy and Jeff have appeared here. The Quartet has always sought to highlight music from the movies in the Best Video catalog. At this show, Rich and his bandmates will play some gems from Hollywood’s Golden Age while also delving into tunes from great songwriters of the sixties and seventies including Bacharach and David, Lennon and McCartney and Carole King. Rich is also sure to include numbers that he regularly features as host of his WMNR radio show One Great Song.
The Quartet will be donating their share of the tip jar proceeds from this event to the Hamden High School Music Parents Organization. The HHMPO provides support and assistance to the Hamden High School music program and Hamden music programs at large.
The parking lot is closed off for seating. There is on-street parking on Thornton Street, as well as parking behind our building and across the street at Spring Glen Church.
