On Saturday, June 23 the City of Waterbury is presenting the first Brass City Jazz Fest, which will take place at the Waterbury Library Park. This free premier music jazz festival features Grammy-nominated, award winning, Billboard charting and local recording artists. The amazing 2018 artists are two-time Grammy nominated producer Chris “Big Dog” Davis, Grammy-nominated soul/jazz singer Maysa, award winning pianist Alex Bugnon, recording artists Art Sherrod, Jr., Steve Clarke Trio, vocalist Dana Lauren, Sez Zion Jazz Band and Marty Q. Hosted by Al “DJ ACT” Taylor, ACT Jams Productions and host/producer of “The Groove” on ACT Jams Radio and Jazz Moods Radio.
The Brass City Jazz Fest is a free family event from the afternoon until the evening. Bring your chairs, blankets and prepare for the weather (no coolers or tents allowed). There will be diverse food trucks, vendors and beverages. Brass City Jazz Fest t-shirts and artists autograph section will be available at the park. Light and sound provided by Sound Idea. The park will open at 2:00 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Volunteers are welcomed.
