Wes studies under Wayne Escoffery and performs with the Yale Jazz Ensemble and Modern Jazz Combo\, the Brian Torff Group\, the collective Trance Macabre\, and as leader of his Quartet. He is also the founder of the New Haven Composers Spotlight\, which premiered in April 2024 with support from the Mellon Foundation and Arts Council of Greater New Haven. His debut album as a leader is set to release this year. Wes plans to graduate with his PhD in 2025 and is looking forward to continuing his scientific pursuits as a bioinformatician and data scientist as well as his artistic pursuits following his graduation from Yale. \n\n\n\n\n\n
