The Connecticut-based saxophonist, composer, and author whom NEA Jazz Master Anthony Braxton has called “one of the few musicians doing anything new today” presents a lecture called Louis Armstrong’s America and performs original compositions that explore the many styles that developed during Armstrong’s life.
Lowe will give his lecture in Sudler Hall at 2 p.m., before the performance.
