DESCRIPTION: \nHartford Sound-Jazz Concert \nMilford Arts Council (MAC)\, 40 Railroad Avenue South\, Milford\, CT 06460 \n The Hartford Sound is a group of accomplished musicians with a repertoire filled with classic jazz\, Latin jazz and original material that has been pleasing audiences for 10 years.  \n April 17th\, 7:30 pm at the MAC \n Doors Open 7pm \n Speakeasy open for beverages and snacks \nThe band  formed in 2015 and debuted at Pittsburgh’s James Street Gastropub and Speakeasy.   This group of accomplished musicians from Connecticut has a repertoire that is filled with classic jazz\, Latin jazz and original material that is sure to please jazz fans.  \nBand Members \nEmmett C Goods  \nDr. Emmett Goods is a trombonist and Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Rhode Island. He has been performing around the East Coast for over 25 years.  \nDamian Curtis  \nThe oldest of three musical brothers\, Damian (a.k.a. King Solomon) came through the Hartt School of Music in Hartford. He has been a mainstay on the Connecticut scene for over twenty-three years.  \nNelson Bello \nHartford\, Connecticut native Nelson Bello is one of the premier percussionists to emerge from the Capital Region over the past twenty years. He came through The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and The Hartford Conservatory.
