Adam Anderson’s quartet, featuring trombonist and vocalist Naomi Wharry, brings a night of swinging jazz to The Side Door

Adam Anderson is an eastern Connecticut native. Playing music since a young age, he recalls hearing his father playing chords on the living room piano and following that inspiration. Starting on alto saxophone at age eight he subsequently followed the study of music across many instruments. Landing on his love of bass in his early 20s, he has asserted this love as his principal instrument. Playing as both a band leader and accompanist with many musicians across CT, he has helped reinforce a communal goal for building a strong local culture around live musical performance.
