Bassology

Thursday, August 13, from 8-10. jazz bassist David Chevan will be playing jazz at the Cannon, 135 Dwight Street in New Haven. This show features the latest edition of Bassology, my long-time jazz quartet that first got its start in the 1990s and features Natalie Hamilton on piano and vocals, Alvin Carter, Jr. on drum set and Will Bartlett on sax. Will has been writing some new arrangements for the group, and we’re excited to debut those charts as well this new edition of the ensemble.
