On Saturday, April 12th, from 4 – 7 pm,  there's the weekly jazz jam session over at Café Nine, 250 State Street, New Haven,, hosted by Gary Grippo on guitar with Barry Ries on drums and trumpet and Jeff Fuller on bass. Musicians, come sit in after the first set!

Tuesday, September 9, Jazz bassist David Chevan will be celebrating his 65th birthday at Café Nine as the featured artist.  Music is from 7-10 pm.  On the gig with David will be Will Bartlett, Warren Byrd, Alvin Carter and Saskia Laroo,   David will be playing his original compositions, arrangements and transcriptions from 7-8 pm followed by a jam session from 8-10 pm. Please come celebrate the completion of David's 65th revolution around the sun by listening to the music and…
